Jim will be your partner and main point of contact throughout the design and planning phases. When he is not having fun bringing his clients’ visions to life, you can find Jim golfing, hunting or fishing.

TJ manages projects from breaking ground through completion, and will be working with you closely as your home begins to take shape. When he is not on the job site, TJ loves to do anything outdoors — hiking, camping, boating, water skiing and snowboarding.

You may meet Danielle, our master of marketing, if your project is featured on our social media pages. She’s also a licensed realtor in Illinois and Wisconsin. When she’s not busy promoting VCC, Danielle can most likely be found spending time with her three daughters or playing guitar.

Karen handles everything behind the scenes to ensure every project is executed seamlessly. If she is not in the office, she's likely golfing, cooking or attending Bible study.

How It All Began

VCC was founded in 1986 when a young contractor, Jim Vande Logt, set off on his own to design and build custom homes in the greater Chicagoland area. While Jim began his career as an electrician, he quickly realized his passion for design and building while working on job sites.

After traveling the country building high-end custom homes for other companies, Jim decided to bring his expertise back home. He built a reputation for his exceptional craftsmanship, unmatched attention to detail, and honesty and candor — values that live at the very heart of VCC.

We primarily work in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago including the Greater Barrington area, Lake in the Hills, Buffalo Grove, Inverness, Highland Park, North Shore suburbs, Arlington Heights, Palatine, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
